from kings of leon to john mayer, it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest weekends of the year!

pilgrimage fest: what to know before sept 27–28 🎶
franklin’s biggest music weekend is almost here - pilgrimage music & cultural festival returns sept 27–28 at the park at harlinsdale farm. the two-day fest brings major headliners, local food, and a crowd that feels both big-time and small-town all at once.
🎤 who’s playing
kings of leon headline saturday night.
john mayer (full band) closes out sunday.
other acts include turnpike troubadours, young the giant, father john misty, grace potter, sam fender, american aquarium + more.
🌟 why it stands out
pilgrimage isn’t just another mega fest. it was founded by kevin griffin (better than ezra) to feel like a southern version of jazzfest, family-friendly, walkable, with a mix of big names and discovery artists.
the whole thing wraps by 10pm, which makes it easy to enjoy and still grab dinner in downtown franklin if you wanted to.
🎒 what to bring
blanket or chairs: the grounds are wide open, so you’ll want a place to sit.
sunscreen + hat: september sun can still hit hard.
layers: days are warm, nights get breezy.
reusable water bottle: free refill stations are available.
small bag or fanny pack: clear bags are recommended for faster entry.
cash/card: for food trucks + local vendors.
pancho: just incase it rains! (it was so nasty last year)
🚗 getting there
parking is limited, so plan to:
park in franklin lots + walk or shuttle over.
bike in (there’s a bike valet).
rideshare if you don’t want the hassle.

kids under 7 get in free with an adult ticket.
there’s a kid’s stage with performers and activities.
stroller and wagon-friendly pathways across the farm.

general admission passes are still available, but ga+ sold out and vip is nearly gone. if you’re thinking about upgrading, now’s the time.
